Darren Wilsey is a diverse songwriter, composer, virtuoso guitarist, keyboardist, and music producer. His formal musical training includes the Manhattan School of Music and The Juilliard School in New York City.
Darren was awarded the Grand Prize in The John Lennon Songwriting Contest in both 2001 and 2003 for his electronic compositions “Trip” and “Electrifier.”
In 2000, Darren was hired to tour the US playing keyboard for the rock band Vibrolush on V2 Records. The band toured the country in support of its Billboard Modern Rock Top 40 Single “Touch & Go,” opening for such groups as Disturbed, Fuel, Lifehouse, P.O.D., and Eve 6.
Darren now resides in southern California and keeps busy writing music for television and film. His music has recently been featured on NBC, CBS, HBO, Showtime, Bravo, MTV, The WB, ESPN, TNT, and The E! Network. Darren’s film music fuses elements of cinematic, electronic and hard rock.
