Composer of several hundred jingles/commercials for large clients like IBM, Shell, Texaco, Stimorol (worldwide) etc....
Rasmus Schwenger is the founder and daily leader of DK Sound Corp., a production facility specializing in original compositions for radio, television, and motion pictures.
Schwenger is an accomplished composer and producer in a variety of music genres and masters the piano, guitar and bass guitar as well as midi programming, arranging and all aspects of recording engineering.
Born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark, Schwenger began studying the piano during those long, cold winter nights at the age of six. Focusing mainly on classical training during his childhood, Schwenger found an interest in more contemporary styles during his college years, when he joined and toured with the rock band "UpFront."
In 1989, Schwenger teamed up with well-renowned Danish singer/songwriter Michael Hardinger and the two founded Full Moon, a Danish production company catering to the then brand new market and demand for radio advertising. The company soon became known as one of the leading creative production facilities in the country.
During this time, Schwenger had increasing success and gained recognition as a commercial songwriter and producer. He worked with Danish and Swedish artists, including Kenny & Lotte, Hadiza, Charlotte Vigel, Peter Belli, Jacob Haugaard and Gry Haritt and provided the music for several popular television shows and big budget movies. In 1996, 1999 and 2000 Schwenger participated, as the composer, in the Danish Eurovision Song Contest, finishing in the top five every time. In 1997 he was awarded the "Grand Global" award for the piano piece "Organ Donation," used in the Danish national commercial of the same name. Schwenger is also credited with several Gold and Platinum awards for his work on "Krumme" and "Mortensens Jul."
